Allen Ginsberg pictured below at a Central Park anti-war rally in March 1966, lived at six different East Village addresses over the years, including 170 E. 2nd St. where a plaque was put up.

Go on the new East Village tour and see an amazing series of Fred W. McDarrah photos taken inside the E. 2nd street apartment.

Includes some of the first photos of Ginsberg and his decades long companion Peter Orlovsky. The men were arguably the first gay couple in America to proclaim themselves as a married same sex couple. Orlovsky's brother and their pal Herbert Huncke also are in the vintage photos.

The tour also references St. Mark's Place, the Fillmore East, Tompkikns Square, the Peace Eye bookstore, Abbie Hoffman, Andy Warhol and so much more.
