The guy does NOT phone it in, or rest on his many laurels, when he certainly could get away with it.
After a Save the Village tour today we went to the Greenmarket at Union Square and ran into the culinary legend David Bouley, and his purchasing manager, Luis Naula.
They were sampling and buying cheese. "I come here as often as I can," Bouley told us. "Look around... This is a fantastic place."
We chit-chatted about markets in the South of France, and then off he went to the next farm purveyor's booth. "Excuse me, but we have a lot of shopping to do!" Of course.
Where else would the top rated Zagat and Michelin-starred chef in the United States shop but at the Union Square Greenmarket!
